Ashley Lauren Natural Products is a family owned beauty brand located in downtown Evanston, IL.The company was founded by Georgia Parker, in January 1998.The company manufactures and distributes natural and organic hair and skin care products. The products are researched, developed and manufactured by Ashley Lauren Research Laboratories to address issues ranging from hair thinning and loss to acne & aging skin.
Our Mission at Ashley Lauren has always been the same, to manufacture the finest quality natural products in the world. Our products contain only the finest quality 100% natural ingredients utilizing organic essential oils, herbs and botanicals. We never use petroleum, mineral oil, silicones, parabens, carbomner, DHDM, silicones, acrylics, triethanolamine, or any toxic chemicals in any of our products. We pride ourselves on the fact that we make our own products, unlike most natural hair and skin care companies. We will always know what is in our products! Our education, years of experience in the cosmetic field and the love of our Customers and GOD will always drive us to make the finest products that nature has to offer.
The company's president Dr. Georgia Parker, ND, BA, Minister of Health, Scientist, Educator, Trichologist and Aesthetician founded Ashley Lauren in January 1998 shortly after the birth of her daughter Ashley Lauren Parker in 1997. She started the company after suffering from hair loss due to alopecia. Georgia prayed to God for something that would help her hair grow back, after receiving through revelation a formula for her hugely popular Jojoba Hair Growth Oil (Rosemary Formula). Georgia formulated the recipe at her kitchen table in Evanston, Illinois. Shortly thereafter her hair began to grow in and many women at her local church in the Chicagoland area noticed her hair and began to request bottles to use for their hair. Other extremely popular products soon followed, such as the Aloe & Jojoba Leave-in Conditioner and Lemon Skin toner for acne skin. Georgia Parker continued to sell her hair products out of her home from 1998-2001.
In the Spring of 2001, Georgia opened up Ashley Lauren Holistic Health & Wellness Center in downtown Evanston, IL on Davis street. Ashley Lauren Holistic Health & Wellness Center offered treatments for hair loss, specialty facials, therapeutic massage and body care. Ashley Lauren soon become a well respected and sought after multi-cultural haven for hair and skin care products and services before it closed it doors in 2013. Ashley Lauren was one of very few businesses that focused specifically on hair growth, healthy hair care, and restoration of natural hair.
February 2011, Dr. Parker made her first TV appearance on NBC\Chicago during black history month, when she was asked to appear on the station.
July 2011, The brand was picked up by Whole Foods Market
February 2013, Dr. Parker was asked to appear on ABC during black history month. The brand continued to grow in popularity and evolve due to its high quality natural products and treatment of its customers.
June of 2013, Dr. Parker closed Ashley Lauren Holistic Health & Wellness center so that she could focus on ministry work, research and school.
February 2014, Dr. Parker opened Ashley Lauren Hair and Skin Care Research Institute in downtown Evanston, IL. The institute focuses its research on the science of hair loss disorders of the skin. The institute also continues to offer holistic consultations and services to both women and men regarding hair loss and skin care.
September 2019, Seven year after closing Ashley Lauren Health & Wellness Center, Georgia accepted the call to ministry from God. Dr. Georgia Parker, ND also completed her degree in naturapathic medicine and became a board certified naturapathic doctor. This year marks the 22nd anniversary of Ashley Lauren Natural Products.
December 2020, Ashley Lauren Clinic reopens in the Carlson building in downtown Evanston, IL after closing due to Covid-19. The location currently offers curbside pickup for its retail products by appointment.
January 2021, Dr. Georgia Parker, N.D. and her daughter Ashley Lauren Parker founded Women of Solidarity due to her own personal challenges with her health and other family members who suffered an early demise due to poor dietary choices. Women of Solidarity’s mission is to empower low to moderate income women and girls in the areas of Education, Health and Financial Literacy. Women of Solidarity works to help women and girls attain quality education, access to affordable, quality health care and economic equality. Fall 2022 Dr. Georgia Parker, N.D closed downtown Evanston, IL hairloss/skin clinic and relocated factory to provide better response time to full fill customer orders.
Dr. Parker looks forward to opening a new clinic in 2023 in another location.
Spring 2023 Ashley Lauren will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in business thanks to its wonderful customers like you.
